MESSAGES INTERFACE FOR MENTOR 12. MENTOR-IEC
Following the trend in the Electrical Power Market, the Mentor 12 unit adapts to the most modern concepts without the need to be sent to factory for updating.
The MENTOR-IEC option is a plug&play electronic board that installs into the control bus of the Mentor 12 unit just by sliding it inside. Through its own RJ-45 connector it connects to the IEC-61850 bus and use the information contained in GOOSE messages as logic inputs in one side, and on the other side it is able to broadcast GOOSE messages that acts as logic outputs, exactly in the same way that the electrical I/O works.
The configuration tools are included in the Mentor 12 control display avoiding the need to use an external computer.
